Just got off the phone with Mc-Xpress and they have just run a Busa Turbo on theyr Superflow dyno and got 315 hp at 1,1 bar.
They will increase the boost later and on tuesday they take it out for a spin around the block......I poop on ZX12 :)

That's around 16 pounds of boost! Not sure I would want to run at that level very long without some "preparations".

Yes they are using theyr own intercooler ( I have talked about this turbo Busa several times in another tread but I can repeat the specs again ( I never get tired of it :))
see:http://www.mc-xpress.com/bikes/turbobilder.htm for pictures of the kit.
This Turbobusa is using a second set of injectors mounted pointing straight down the intake ala Yamaha R7 , to supply the extra juice needed to make 300+hp.

KawAbuser. Lets see how good U are in Norwegian before U complain about my English. Its bad enough that I notice that my spelling isnt up to a straight A. I am improving though :)

The photos only show the GSXR750 KIT.
Have you seen the turbo installed on the BUSA?
If so, does it fit within the fairing? what about ground clearance?
I want to put on a turbo this winter, but I am waiting to see what comes out it fits performs first.

The kit for the Busa is not yet finished, as I told u it was on the dyno on friday and its on the dyno now. They are dynoing it more times today and tomorrow and Monday ( they never stop working :) ) Anyhow I have not seen the busa with the fairing on. Only without but I will get pictures taken on Monday and try to develop the before the end of this week.
Just leave your e-mail here to me or better send a message to my adress ( yngvek@student.hin.no ) and ill send u pictures as soon as possible ( maybye it will take longer than a week but I will send them ( heard it before ? hehehe ))

i also am very interested in this turbo kit.i have been waiting for more information to come up on the kit soon to be offered by mr. turbo.last i heard on availablility was december !starting around 3500.00

maui: at 7000 almost triple the orginal torque. And the exaust manifoilds ARE glowing on the dyno where its limited airflow compared to in the real world. The bodywork can be protected by using insulating wrapping on the exaustpipes. ( before AND after the turbine ).
mslater and Pkboxer: Ill keep U posted.
crazy bill : I think U are refering to the Turbo kit that Mr. Turbo is "developing". Well this kit is from the Swedish Guy Erik Marklund ( McXpress). Its going to cost a little more than $3500 because of the 4 added injectors. more like $5000 I am afraid. But it will WORK. Period. ( and I have ridden 3 different Turbos from this Guy. )

Are they running a surge valve, or pop off (also called a bypass) on the intake side?

Up to 330 hp now with only a little fiddeling with the boost pressure.
I have pictures taken while it is on the dyno. ( sorry no pictures with the fairing on but I dont think the fairing will be modifyed at all ). Will send the pictures to developing tomorrow, hopefully I will have them end of week , early next week.

I resemble that remark. Yngve, I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I'm following your reports. What kind of torque increase are you guys seeing with that 330 hp. Are the manifolds glowing? How will the body work handle the extra heat?

I too am very intrested since I am considering a turbo when a good kit is offered. Please continue to keep us updated.
Thanks,
Paul

For a very good picture of one of the Turbo Blackbirds go to http://come.to/swt_racing.
Its lots of Pictures of the Blacbird of Patrik Fürstenhoff, holder of the world wheelie record ( 201 Mph ). This bike got 320 hp....imagine what 341 hp( on less boost ) will do.
