track day Heartland Park pics

Had a great time this past weekend with my wife, son Chris and his GF Tina, Chris's friend Brian and his wife. We left Kansas City early in the AM, in pouring rain. By time we got to Topeka, Ks., the clouds passed and we were good to go. We set up shop and decided to wait until the track dried out a bit as Chris and Brian run slicks. We all took to the track in the second session. Had some cloud cover all day which helped keep the heat down, and the track was in great shape. Rode all day until the last session, when the clouds opened up again. Had a blast. Great family time!

Would have loved that! Dennis and Colin were going to come , but were unable to make it. That would have been too cool.

You have been in the same boat Cap. Had a great time and so did Mary. I have really missed riding with my busa family though. Maybe one of these days I can retire and enjoy riding and playing music instead of working all the time. Hopefully I'll still be able to get around.
