TRAIL OF TEARS RIDE

the annual trail of tears ride is sat sept 15 ( always the
3rd sat in sept). the ride is from chattanooga, tn. to waterloo, al. our ministry has for the last 8 years gives
out free water and bibles at the end of the ride in waterloo. i was wondering if anyone here is going to do
this ride. over 100000 riders are expected. i would love to see a contingent of sport bike riders this year since i bought my busa. the ride is police escorted all the way from start to finish so no stopping at red lights,etc. plus all the people lining the road with lawn chairs,coolers,etc. waving at you as you go by. all in all it's an experience! if you go- look for the Holyriders table in waterloo across from the indian circle and ask for "shortcut".

I went last year to the rally point in Huntsville. Then went to Athens and picked up with them and rode to Elgin. That is where I broke off and went home. I will probably go back to Huntsville this year as well but I will not ride in the big group again.

we have always stayed at the cabins at joe wheeler
state park. they are nice,clean,and relatively inexpensive. meet & greet sounds great however it's only 2 weeks from the fall bash at deals gap. i'm up for it though since i'm going anyway. your from muscle shoals-we must meet at least!

Absolutely! It is only about 25 or 30 miles from my house to Joe Wheeler S.P. or about 40 to Waterloo. I will PM you my cell# give a shout between now and then.

at the super 8 lookout mountain. dinner at sticky fingers in chattanooga.
leaving chattanooga sat a.m. 9/15/2007 with the ride to waterloo. over 50000+ bikes expected this year. will be staying at joe wheeler state park on saturday. then back to anniston sunday morning. have an old friend coming up from florida and one from georgia. we will be riding our HARLEYS on this ride. look for a Harley sidecar rig with a big american flag if anyone decides to go. 2 weeks i'll be riding the BUSA to the fall bash.

the super 8 in lookout valley? is that were you staying at?? if so about 10 mins from the house.. yes there will be alot of bikes there for sure..

i be in ST.OHIO working iam going back there thrus. morning and be there until tuesday then driving to mich. to look at a robot that my company is getting for my next job. then driving back next friday ..just though i ask.
