I am in the process of doing the transmission on a fellow busa riders bike however I have found a crack in his lower engine case around the bearing for the shifter rod. I know that it can be welded but in the event that it cannot, do any of you have a set of cases available and if so what price? Also will need the following parts:
water pump and bolts
countershaft sprocket cover and bolts
tranny-complete with shifter cover and all internals
including bolts
clutch pushrod
gasket kit
If anyone here has these parts I would love to get some contact info?
I appreciate your help and advice.

Thanks

I have most of the parts you need and have a guy that fixes my cases if you get them taken down and bare..

I have a crack in mine that has been there for over 10K miles and no problems. Mine was cracked when I broke the stock chain. all that boss does is it is a pivot point for the shift shaft and unless you break a chain it doesn't see any stress IMHO.

You are right however inside the case on the other end of the shifter shaft is a needle bearing support boss inside that little cover that you cannot get off without removing engine. I had to weld the boss back together and reclearance the weld goobers. Ha Ha! Thank god it's hidden behind a cover. It actually turned out better than I had thought. Also the upper countershaft sprocket bolt boss on the upper case cracked slightly as well. So anyway you may have gotten off lucky but you may also have a broken case as well. Did you take the little cover off? Thanks for your input though. I thought he had gotten off lucky like you but as I tore into it a little further I found more damage.
