I have an 06 LE. I have about 10,500 miles on it. It feels like it cuts out in the higher rpms. It feels identical to pushing the air shifter button with no air pressure so it just kills the engine. I am starting to wonder if it is in the tranny like because it sounds like what people are experiencing with second gear. My bike will do it in first gear as well though, and I would have to verify, but maybe third. Dont do that real often though because you are going pretty quick by that point. It usually happens @ wot around 9k. Sometimes if I roll into it a little slower in second gear, it will happen around 5-6k. I have an extended warranty. I am kind of thinking it is in the tranny, but everyone I have seen post always just talks about second where as mine seems to be more than one gear.
