this year imma have to take my transmission out and replace second gear, has anyone change their gear ratios in the transmission for a street bike? if so how big pr small did u go for each gear

I would just have second gear fixed and have the tranny undercut. That is the way most of the guys on here go.

Just send the whole tranny to Ape, or Fast by Gast!

They will most likely be able to repair it and undercut for you!

i would love to do that but im on a extremely low budget, im prolly gonna attempt to do this build myself

If you buy just the 2 2nd gears your parts are at about $175 at least!

oh ok i thought it would be like up near 700, but around 400 isnt too bad, what is undercut? just reshaping the dogs?

yep, so they stay together when you're throttled up.

or like me....under cut, new clips, weld a couple of dogs, get a new output shaft....

is there any special tools imma need to take my engine out, or anyone have any tips on the easiest way to take the engine out to get to the transmission?
