i am almost sure i need to replace the tranny, but i thought it would be worth asking if i am seeing clutch problems. i have 12,000 miles on a 2001. i rode the last 5,000 of them, and i ride kinda hard, however, no lauches or 1/4 mile abuse! when i let off in almost any gear i get chatter that sounds real bad. it feels like the tranny is disengaging. if i can solve this problem with a clutch, i will gladly deal w/ it popping out of second at 100mph occasionaly. maybe it would even encourage keeping the front wheel on the ground!! thanks for your help in advance!
