TRE installed.......  question

Ok I just put on a TRE and took the bike around the block. Too windy here in Cen. Florida to really ride it around. So just around the block I think it seems way more twitchy, and when I let off the throttle it doesn't jerk under engine braking. Is this exactly what the TRE does? Just checking.

I can make a Ebay brand.. Get Ivans TRE.. anything else is FAKE. The other Ebay TREs are just to remove the speed cap and not for smooth riding.

The saying gos. You get what you payed for, in your case...

There is alot of TRE hating going on at hayabusa.org

There shouldn't be a need to a TRE unless you have a speeding problem like me, if you pass by a cop doing 190+ you may as well keep going, because your DEAD one way or another. Example, I few past a State Trooper early this year doing about 170. No cars were around me and I saw him just as I past him. He didn't even flip on lights, nor move. But that didn't stop me from going to I-75 and getting the hell out of there.

Personally the fastest i've gone was 190mph and slowed down, its crazy fast but, i also feel getting to 190 is easier with a TRE then without.

Just be safe

I know this already, just wanted to try it. You guys say that it only affects the top end restriction but that doesn't answer the question.
The question was about the smoother engine braking and throttle response. I thought I noticed a difference and so I was thinking that it was working. I was looking for a confirmation not a sales pitch for a better TRE.
Thanks anyways

I haven't seen that much hating. Who here has one?

According to Ivan, it is supposed to run smoother. Whether that is true, who knows....

a tre is a mythical device guaranteed to make slow people fast, and fast people ubelievably fast.

advanced riders may be able to utilize the highly sophisticated "smart" tre that actually scans the rider to determine his natural ability and adapts the bike for maximum performance available based soley on talent, or lack of talent. Thusly it is a device worth far more than the $1.92 it costs to manufacter (including fancy stickers & packaging) and is subject to mark up percentages in the 1000's.

Actual proof of such claims may be found by simply entering "tre makes hayabusa rider faster" on google.com and pushing the enter button with a white virgin unicorns 3rd born mares freakishly long horn during a full moon while it's snowing in westchester england on any 8th day of june between the times of 6:00:03 PM, and 6:00:12 PM. All times standard pacific slightly west of eastern. Obviously the searcher needs to adjust for cosmic drift, and earth wobbles.

What is a TRE indeed.

was that tre hating?

yeah,, probably... spend the money waxing the bike.. it would probably make a bigger difference.

it has been beaten to death.
it puts your bike in 5th map all the time.
5th map is richer than 1-4
so if you are lean below 4K your bike will feel better
if you are rich like 95% of busas are it will be worse.
like I say take it out and see how she runs without it now.
99% of it is in your mind

I have an Ivan's Smart TRE and recently tried it. It's a hair smoother, but as you described, it's also twitchy (from the advanced timing curve). I didn't like that, so I took it off. I like the stock curves better.

My tre smoothed out the initial cracking of the throttle as well as the release of the throttle in gears 1-4.   That's what it's supposed to do. I don't know what you mean about twitchiness, that part doen't make sense. Once the throttle is open, any sputtering needs to be addressed by the fuel mapping and has nothing to do with the tre's impact on the timing.
