i just bought yoshi slip-ons and not sure on getting a power commander. but the questions is on a tre. I saw them advertised for about $50 and was wondering about the hype. It is stating that it will get rid of the speed govenor and give it more power in the 1rst 3 gears. How does a tre really work on the busa?

The idea that a resistor that you can buy for $2 at radio shack selling for $50 is crazy. PM me and i can forward you instructions on how to DIY for less than $5. All the TRE does is trick the bike into thinking you are always in 4th gear. If you do a search on the internet for the specific resistance that the computer needs to see to think it is in 4th then add that to the correct wire under the gas tank and ground the side that was originally coming from the tranny then you have a TRE to sell on Ebay for extra cash, buy the OEM style connectors and you can make a fortune.
