Trying to decide

In your opinion would you go ahead and buy a new busa or a '02? The '02 has 3600 hun. miles on it and the guy wants $7800. Also what are some of the "things" I should look for when I go inspect it?

Pending your current finances you could expect an additional $50/month on your payment should you decide on the 04'. That's pretty low mileage on the 02'
-make sure it was serviced appropriately and wasn't used as a track bike
-make sure it has a clean title
-look at tire wear & tear
-test drive the 02' feel for smooth shifting
-still has tool kit and owners manual
-listen for abnormal sounds (ie clunking) may require slow speed riding w/o a helmet.

If the extra $$ is no big deal I'd go for the new that way you know exactly what you're working with.  You can do your own break in and you've got the manufacters warranty.  Hope this helped.
