I've been trying to sell my blue and silver 04 b/c of financial reasons for a while now with no luck. Tried Craigslist, here, and fliers, still no luck. Had a few low ball bid's or silly trade offers for ragged out junk. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks

asking $8K OBO, going to try cycle trader next, not sure how to sell on e-bay, I'm currently talking to a consignment person with e-bay. Thank's for the speedy reply's!!

Be patient and you have to know that your not going to get what you want......the market value or KBB actual value is high compared to what you will actually get. Try posting in different cities on craigslist.

thank's, I'm trying to be patient,it' the jack leg's that make obsene offer's like $5k for a clean, low milage bike that get me goin'. Why even waste someone's time with a slap in the face offer like that? Thank's again for all of the speedy reply's

I'm not sure about your neck of the woods but 8K for an 04 busa in the Northwest is a pretty steep price. I sold my 06 busa last November for $8K and it only had 3,800 miles on the OD.

Just a little heads up, don't be offended by any offer no matter how weak it may be. The buyer has the right to offer whatever he is willing to pay, not necessarily what it's worth and you have the right to accept or reject any offer as well. Just be happy the bloke was nice enough to make an offer.

I'm at the mid to high end for this area on price, but most of the bikes around here that i've found are rebuilders, will deal on the price but wont cut the price in half, I realize that people do have the right to offer what ever they want though

No offense but your price is to high. Especially this time of year. The new 08s haven't helped the price of GEN I's either. I bought my 04 over 2 years ago with chrome wheels, chrome swingarm, full pipe, pc3,lowered, in near mint condition for $7500. You're probably going to have to lower your price so sell. Just my $.02

dont worry not offended, that's why I asked for the input. I missed out b4 the 08's came out I had all sort's of way high offer's on the bike , o well.

Why are you trying to sell it? I've thought about selling mine but I like it to much to lose a bunch of money on it. Where I live there are very few busas and my bike stands out in the crowd(if there is one). If you're selling it to buy a new one, I'd rather spend some money on my Gen I and have a truely unique bike(like paint, or turbo, or wheels...) then buy a Gen II and have to start all over again.

Im in the same boat brother. Got mine listed here in the Classifieds Section for $8450. its an 06 with 5600 miles. Seems like it's just not the time.. About 2 months ago I seen Busas flying off the shelves here on this site but now the market is in a stand still.. Im most likely gonna hold out for a while cause I just cant lose that much money from selling this thing, might as well just keep paying and wait it out...

You have several things working against you here.

1. The riding season in the north is almost over for those seasonal riders!
2. The economy is piss poor. People don’t know if they will have a job.
3. 08-GEN2-NEW BUSA… is not your friend right now… you want 8K I can get a 08 for 9.5 and build it the way I want it…

Like someone said… Try other cities craigslist… They my not have as many Busas… Supply and demand…

Until you adjust your price to the market you're not going to move your bike. Its worth what its worth...and as you're finding out no matter what you ask for it you're only going to get what its worth (6500-7 grand), or you're going to have it around for a long. Remember the longer you keep it the more it devalues :;): Just sell it for market value or keep it
And also remember the economy is crap right now...folks don't have much money, not a good time for selling :(

selling to help my wife out with a car, prolly will hold on to it until the econ. bounces back, good thing is that it is paid for and I do still love the bike!!
