Turbo added and now the details

Hello...

I recently ordered a turbo and have since did my best to get it running. The directions that came with it were great, but I ran into two issues. They were common sense but...it took me a day or so...the return line was long and it had enough slack to kink (not good) and the fuel rail leaked due to a mashed o-ring on the insert...both easily corrected.

I have o-ring kits but they do not have the same ring dia and thickness dia...is this a dealer / oem part?

Here are a few pics. I am excited to feel the difference...in good time.

excellent, be sure to get it tuned before you romp on it. Very easy to smoke that motor.

Ryan Schnitz may be one of your closest options depending on where you are in Ohio.. did a nice job on the turbo I bike I saw him tune a month or so ago..

Well I had it tuned / dialed in on the safe side of the AF ratio...and they graph showed 240 hp...the guys said that the dyno was not capable of +220 or so hp...whatever...I wanted a safe tune and that is waht they did. They said that the tire was spinning and strapped / mashed down and still broke loose. I can say after a few blasts is that the power is amazing in after 6000 rpm and I don't think I made a mistake buying the turbo kit.

I would like to ask what are the shutdown procedures...let it run for a few minutes to circulate the oil...or just turn it off?

Thanks for any help, Ryan

Not so familiar with bikes but turbos period are prone to coking over time if the oil does not circulate before shut down. Couple minutes won't hurt at idle. You can also by a turbo timer, lock the steering, pull out the key and be done with it.

What he said. Usually if you have a dry cartridge turbo they are more prone to coking. So letting the oil circulate will help. Or just take it easy when you get close to home.

find another tuner with a better dyno
you need load control or the tune is worthless
it will spool to fast and the A/F you will read will be 4k behind the graph.
it isn't whatever it is you want it right

Thats what I do...just cruise the last couple miles before shutdown time. If you've been cruising the whole time you can just park and shut it off. But if you've been on it hard you def need to cruise it abit before shutting it down

definetly take it easy before shutoff. safer than a turbo timer imho.

How much that set you back? I love my busa stock but turbo is always in the back of the brain of course.
