Two Brothers Carbon Pipe Leaking

Found a small leak in my NEW Two Brothers Carbon Slip Ons today. I don't have 5 miles on the bike since I put them on. The left can is leaking at the rivited joint connecting the can to the aluminum front cap. I really felt like when I contacted Two Bros. they would apologize for the product defect and quickly ship me a replacement with a RMA return for the bad can. This was not the case. They actually wanted me to take my exhaust can off and ship it to them for their inspection. They would repair it, and ship it back to me. Is it just me or is that crazy?

Here is the video I sent them: MVI_4060.flv - Video - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The joint is NOT leaking, the seal to the can and front cap is!

Before I gave in to the Two Brothers request to send in the defective product, I contacted the Two Bros. distributor from where I purchased the product and they are stepping up and making it right. (Ship replacement product first, then send in bad part.)

Anyone else have good / bad experiences with Two Brothers? (Not product, I love the sound of the pipes, but with issues in dealing with them.)

Here is the good side:

my guess is that they grew tired of clowns that crashed or tipped their bikes over then blamed their product for leaking... this is simply the result of people abusing their trust in the past is all....

There are two joints that are made up when you install the kit. One is the V.A.L.E (Two Brothers acronym) attachment to the front of the canister and the other is to the exhaust manifold at the bottom of the bike. When checking the fit of both points for leaks I found the small leak on the can. It presents no issues while the leak is new, but over time would develop a black soot presence where the exhaust is escaping.

I understand how Two Brothers could / would be abused by some, but still disappoints about my issue. Anyway, the issue is being taken care of by the distributor so I am a happy Two Brothers owner. They pipes change the whole feel about the bike.

I have the same one's on my bike. Never had any trouble with them. I have over 7 K on it now and still love the way they sound. One BADD BEAST!! Good luck

I am not sure if the offer a full system. I just wanted a little more sound and went with the slip on's. I do like the blue. it kinda sneaks up on ya

They do offer the full system, but would require much more effort than the slip ons.

Full system: Part Number: 005-1930107V MSRP: $1099.98

I paid 750 or so for the slip ons.

the best price i found on the 4-2-1 full system is 950.00 shipped. i have heard that the 4-2-1-2 two can full system makes a slight amount more power, but i guess i'm too much "old school" i still like the 4into1 look and sound that i have had on all my previous bikes. thanks for the info. craft

I went with a Yosh system but my shop really tried to sell me on the Two Bros by telling me that they had a better warranty than Yosh and superior customer service. I guess it all depends who you actually end up dealing with. Glad the other guy is standing up and taking care of it for you.
