Oh wow...that must really be something.i actually have the honor to attend his ceremony up here in Washington D.C. i'll take pics if i can.
No matter what he is a great man and I'm proud to live in the country he serves.
My question is and please don't anyone take this wrong. Does it not seem Obama and the higher ups are giving these out a bit too easily? Do you folks who are serving or have served think deletions of his actions call for the highest award in the land? Aren't there other medals that could be given for these kinds of acts or do they deserve the MoH?
Again I'm only asking and not taking away anything from him or criticizing the act or award.
I understand your question, BUT, we don't know ALL the story. I would NEVER question the Award, mainly because I know what the system requires for it to be given. Notice, it took 2 years for him to receive it. To just be nominated for the MOH is a bundle of paper work from many, many people who were there and could give you EYE witness accounts of what REALLY happened and who did what. I have met several MOH personel and when you read what they did, they really shouldn't be here. As one told me, I did what I did because I became just really pissssssssssss, and wasn't going to let the emeny think they had won. So, like this Warrent Officer I spoke to, I'am sure this Marine didn't think he would make it the second time, much less FIVE times. And remember what you read is ONLY the Highlights of what he totally did.
For that, I Gladly Salute Him
I also understand his feelings of failure in lossing his Team. That is one thing that will never leave your mind.
