I have to admit, when I first saw the Hayabusa I thought it was butt ugly but had to have one anyways. I've been waiting two weeks now for my bike as I opted for the black one later vs the copper one now. In that period the look of the bike has actually grown on me. anyone else?

I spoke to Glynn Kerr about the look of the bike the other day. He's a highly-respected freelance bike designer. He's worked for Harley, BMW, Ducati etc etc. He hates it. Reckons it looks like a slug. But he also didn't like the 916 when it came out and neither did he think much of the MV Agusta. He admits it takes him a while to like anything new. In a year's time no one will call the Abusa ugly. Anyone who still does now is suffering from future shock
