What ELSE is good? Not just advertised too much, but actually "Mom Appriciated"?

I'm taking mine to her favorite resturant for dinner. along with the flowers.

Spending time with her...

Day spa gift certificate. Or pedi/manicure gift certificate.
A day shopping for only stuff SHE wants for herself.

I personally want a new camera or a new cell phone..or some dishes that I collect that I found on ebay.

She been oogling anything recently?

naw, she's got everything she likes, and I tried the spa thing a few years back and it didn't fit her too well I guess. Who'da thunk? She DOES want to go on the cycle, so we will be doing that. At 70+, if she wants to ride, I won't deny her that fun. Also will be spending Sunday with them.

When possible, I spend Sunday afternoon visiting them for a while. They won't be around forever

Sounds like spending time with her is the best bet. A good ride, a great lunch, and some laughs.

A one hour full body massage is wonderful!!

my mom still loves flowers... she says she has enough STUFF... she would really like to spend more time with me.. but I live 600 miles away.

I'm out of the norm so I don't think I much agree with that. If you're that kinda girl it's good, but for me, I'd never find the time & it would be a waste. Buy me things "I" want, like race bike parts!

(btw, this year my husband and daughter bought me some new street riding leathers. You know how I know, cause I ordered them & told them that's what they're buying me!

They're also taking me out to dinner at our local Pizza joint, cause that's where they want to eat. I get dinner & don't have to plan it so it's all good! Maybe we'll even ride there just for fun!

I think it's all about paying attention to what the recipient likes. Spend time with Mom. Do what she wants to do & never does. Buy what she likes & never buys for herself. If you really don't know, just ask. "hey Mom, what would be your idea of the perfect Mother's Day" and then do at least some of it.

I sent my Mom-in-law flowers. She has "everything", she loves flowers. If you love flowers then a fresh  bouquet every week wouldn't get old. Mom-i-l likes to be remembered & surprised. Her flowers will get there tomorrow!

For her the only thing better would be if we could deliver it to her ourselves.

If you really don't know then print a picture of you & your bike. Go to walmart & buy an I love you frame, stick the pic in it & give it to Mom. She'll get a pic of someone she loves and it will be "made" special just for her.

Mom's are usually pretty easy. They just like to be remembered, thought of and just have a little thought put into what ever you do.

I'll get my bike, some flowers, the um dryer sheets, and some fine steaks for our grill out. We'll probably watch some musical she likes also like Oklahoma or Sound of Music

Anything that would help out around the house is always wonderful for me. Or, something nostalgic. Is there an old family photo or something like that which you could get reframed or blown up? Favorite music that you can get on a CD or even vinyl? Refurbish a piece of furniture or other something that she holds dear.

She does want to buy a new carpet cleaner. I know if I go and buy one and don't tell her, she will buy one also... I am taking her out to dinner, should I bring our daughter with? Should I bring both of our mothers with?

Thanks for the guilt trip!!

My mom has lung cancer and I have spent the last 2 summers up in St. Louis with her... this will be my first summer to spend with my husband!!

I wish I could do the web cam thing.. but I can't even get her to check her e-mail!!!

I say take her to go buy it before she buys it herself. Do it tonight or tomorrow or Saturday & get it done ahead of time. But then stash a card and a little something to also give her on Sunday. Her favorite snack or beverage or movie she liked or a cd with a song on it she likes a book by her favorite author. Geeze you have 5 more days to snoop & do recon work, you can do this!

As for dinner, Depends on how old the kid is & how much time she spends with her. (like is she the stay at home mom/caretaker that's cooped up in the house all day with the kid?) Actually taking just her out to dinner Saturday night might be real nice. And then do the family thing on Sunday with all the Mom's & kids. This way SHE gets a little special time, cause that's your job to give, and then Sunday ALL the Mom's are remembered.

Just my thoughts. Give more feedback & we'll keep narrowing it down for you.
