This ad from 58cycle claims 3mph added to top speed with a ZG DB screen. I think I'm going to send them a question and ask where this info came from and how they verified it. I'll let you know what they say.

But I thought that the reason the busa was top end king was because of it's factory aerodynamics? The ZG DB adds frontal area up top, where the busa supposedly smokes the 12R. Looks like with everything else the same, the DB would increase frontal area and drag and actually hurt top end slightly.

At the same time, I agree that with the DB on my busa it feels like I released a parking brake at moderate to FAST speeds. I just don't see how it could add three up top... I'd like to see a wind tunnel test and some flat out runs to back this claim.

HEy Folks don't forget about my 25HP fender mod, or my 15 Horse stage II Windscreen modification...

BT.. Remember the Busa's stock areodynamics are optomized with a skinny little
no weight bearing Short japanese jockey type pilot. Once you or I Mount our fat
asses on the Busa there went any aero advantage. The ZG DB may actually restore some of it for us.

Well, that makes sense, but is 58cycle assuming that only fat asses ride busa's? I just thought it was a cheesy claim is all.

By the way, no reply from them yet. Wanna bet they don't reply?

Then with a DB, nixxed reflectors and *some* decals removed I should be able to hit around 200 mph without counting the Hindle. If I got me one of them Village People bracelets like Rev bought I might could hit 204 without any other mods!

I gained 38hp by cutting off my right leg to reduce drag and reduced the overall weight by 26 pounds!

Now thats dedication....

I keep wanting to drop my weight to right around 195 or so. Then the realization hits me that I haven't been 195 since my freshman year of highschool... and that was only for about two months on my way to 210... So, Since I do not really use my rear brake anyway...thats not an all bad idea...

Oh in all seriousness I think I prolly gained about 5-6 horses when I switched to Silkolene Full Synthetic Pro4 10W40.

Ask Cache about the 15 HP stage II Windscreen, he has it in his possession right now...

Revlis are you serious about the oil?I didnt realize that it would make that big of differance. When i get mine broke in i was going to use golden spectro 10w40.What ya think??

I am serious, The Silkolene made a huge difference in the tranny feel as well, it was almost like a whole new tranny.

Mind you my power gain is only measured by my carefully tuned SOTP model 71' Dyno so I honestly cannot claim more REAL power.  However, I can tell you that it certainly made a noticable difference in FEEL.  It feels like it gained some oomph, so hell, thats good enough for me.  I cannot speak to any other oils really, Silkolene was my first choice and I have since come to be quite the little Silkolene BeeeYoootch!  If it helps any I don't own any stock in the company but I am a huge fan.
If you are shopping for a Full synthetic I can say that you want a Full Ester base, and don't try to save a few pennies here.

Some Propaganda for ya!  Silkolene Pro-4

"Pro 4 10W-40 and 15W-50
Electrosyntec Technology - Full synthetic ester 4-stroke engine oil for all high performance motorcycles. Electrosyntec uses electrostatic forces to bond low friction molecules to stressed metal surfaces, releasing hidden power and ensuring long term performance retention and exceptional stay-in-grade characteristics even under race conditions. Ideal for all highly tuned, high output engine transmission units. Race proven to provide exceptional anti-wear and anti-friction performance under all extremes of temperature.
API SG, SH & SJ, JASO MA."

And here to buy...  Ronayers Silkolene

All I can do is swear I noticed a huge improvement in tranny feel, and the bike feels stronger...
