Undertail

I know that this topic has been talked about numerous times, and I have looked over most of them on this board. I want to purchase an undertail. I like the look of the Top Gun. I'm looking for a good place to purchase it from. I have read lots about Sylvio at Allied Barter, both good and bad. I'm looking for one painted for the '04 Blue/Silver. I know I've seen them with just the 2 brake lights, with the turn signals integrated in, but I can't seem to remember where I saw it. If someone would post pictures of this undertail, style not color, and where you purchased it from I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry, no pics yet, but it seems the board may be now endorsing Second Look as there have been a few problems with Sylvio.  I ordered mine from Sylvio at Allied and the general concensus is you'll get your product just not in the time he promises.  At this point it may seem that for almost the same price, Second Look has bettewr customer service, but thats just my .02

I think either Second Look or Extreme Graphics are the 2 popular places for ordering the TG undertail right now.  From what I have heard the service was quite good.  I ordered from from Sylvio several months before the downturn in service that others have experienced.  Here's a pic of mine.

I can tell ya who i WOULDNT buy from: Texas Fairing!

Heard NOTHING but bad stuff on the web and from someone I know who works at a very reputable dealer who orders for the dealership. I hear horrors of awful turnaround time, poor fit and finish, and rude Rude RUDE customer service! Ive seen complaint sights with threads upon threads regarding this company and this guy confirmed it. Not a big deal though...i think their products are ugly anyway...especially the busa stuff!

Check out UFO UNdertails sold buy CSC. They support our site and have their own section. I like them better than Top Gun.

Heard the same.

are there any undertails that retain the stock brake light, I really do not care for the little round lights

I had the same opinion of the little round lights. Here is the UFO undertail sold by Custom Sportbike Concepts (CSC).

The UFO Undertail is a good product, it fits well and looks GREAT. The actual manufacturer could use some customer service training, but CSC is a top notch company! They will take care of you.

I already had an undertail that I bought from somewhere (I think Sylvio). At the time, I liked it cause I could keep the stock light. But the UFO is much sharper. Since I previously had an undertail, all I had to do was pop thepins and put the new one in. I think you have to do a little cutting if you are starting with a stock set-up. Call CSC and they will walk you thru it.

My frames are typical chrome frames from most shops. They are mounted to the hardware that is in place for my Corbin Bags. I rarely use the bags, so I have made use of the mounting hardware.
