Updates for 00\' model?

Vegas supplied us with top secret exclusive photos of the Y2K Busas for the U.S. - risking his life in the process simply for the pleasure of Y2K Busa owner wannabees. The known bugs from 99' should be taken care of. Rumors of ECU changes producing additional HP have not been verified. New colors & slightly higher price.(+$300 U.S.)

The guys at my local dealership showed me the 2000 dealer catalogue when I was there yesterday. 2000 colors for the U.S. are blue & white, and red & gray. The guy I talked to said there most likely will not be any substantial mechanical changes from this year's machine, except for the usual debugging fixes. He also said the price should stay about the same.

I thought it was blue/silver - supposed to be the same silver as used on the 99' copper/silver?

I have checked out the dealer book, also.
I have now changed my mind to the blue/silver :)
It definitely looks silver to me,and it is too :)
And if you can't take my word for it...it says it on the other side of the page for you, along with the specs. And yes, they are identical to the 99's
Compared to the pictures we have seen of it here, the blue/silver isn't even the same bike.
It is beautiful.
The gray color in the red/gray i realised,is actually a little too gray and stands out a little too much for my tastes...but thats reason enough for someone else to get it.
In the dealer picture of the blue one,its true color really shines through, reaches out...and grabs my bobo.

Buddah is right. I think this was asked earlier and I believe it was VegasDude (he was at the Vegas Show) who said that the silver on the blue one was the same silver that was on the copper busa. I asked my dealer (he saw the bike at the dealer show) and he said the same thing as VegasDude. I've also downloaded some better photos from the Milan Show and it confirmed what my dealer had said. It gives you a better feel for how the blue will be offset by the silver.

I admit, I was in the process of buying a part when the other parts guy came up to me with the book, and said "Hey Herm, take a look at this...". He knows I'm serious about buying one. But I was a bit distracted, it could definitely have been silver.

A picture never really tells you what they look like in real life anyway. Tell me this, Buddha...can you possibly imagine a Hayabusa, any color, that wouldn't look good between your legs??

I think the list price is up $300.00 $10,800 plus tax and set-up is what I heard a local dealer quote this weekend.

The blue/silver is a candy blue with metallic silver. The other is the same red as a bandit 1200 and charcoal metallic gray. Both bikes look great.

Not at all Mr Bear.
I like all the colors, they all look really good.
And any one of them would rip my head off :)
And i know that when i'm riding around on my blue one and i come across a red, copper or black one,i'll be admiring it.
But...life is full of choices.
So i'll have the blue/silver :)

Gentlemen

I checked the spex in the Dealer's book against last years brochure. Except for color and price nothing has changed. I was told verbally from a sales guy who was at the Vegas show that the cutout problem, false neutrals, and chain stretch, were fixed.
