Urgent Question

i have a 2002 Hayabusa... i have stripped the Starter Three Times now ... Question: can i replace The Starter Limiter Idle Gear (the Gear DIRECTLY CONNECTED to the Starter); with the 2003 Version WHICH HAS THREE TEETH .. on '02 Model has ONE ROW OF TEETH .... can i just PULL THE PART OUT AND PUT IN THE '03 PART WITHOUT MAKING ANY ALTERATIONS

I believe the 03 is upgrade that most day is a must do. Search it I think you have to do more than just that gear.

Agreed; i am seeing new cover needed too; though what else and part names are required

The starter clutch housing and cap are different, so is the starter itself. The only parts that are the same are the starter clutch itself and the gaskets . . .
