Does anyone have a logical explanation to describe the disparity between NADA and Kelley book values and actual street sale values on used bikes? These two seem to be about the most unreliable data on the planet.
Better yet does anyone have the NADA value on a clean 04 LE?
Traderonline.com is another place to go,when I was looking to buy my busa a couple of months back I could not beleive how well they held there value it didnt matter if it was an 01 with 25000 miles on itand all the goods or it was a 03 bone stock with 3000 miles on it they were going anywhere from 6500.00 to 8500.00.
I agree with Big E. Busa's hold a good deal of their value when compared to other sportbikes. You can buy an old R1 in great shape for about $5500, let's not even discuss how cheap you can find a ZX12 for........

Reason for disparity: Figures are derived from number crunchers and generally not owners! But, these numbers will put the average buyer/seller in the ball park. Job accomplished...
Value of a used bike has soooooo many factors in determining its total worth that it would be nearly impossible to cover them all.
The basics always start with Supply/Demand!
What goodies are included in the purchase can impact total cost, imop!
Distance between buyer/seller; Even the age of seller can be a factor!
The basics, year, color, miles, how many owners, etc...
