Valve Adjustments

I was just wondering so I know when to schedule these. I did my first Valve Adjustment at 13,000 miles but was curious when are they do after that? Is there an every so many miles schedule or just a rule of thumb on them? I now have 23,000 miles on the bike so I figure it might not be too far from another one.
