Valve guide stem seals

I've searched and can't seem to find any real information on some valve stem seals. Apparently people are just using some from a GM car/truck? Can anyone confirm this? I'm sure someone's going to find a link and link it to me. I just can't seem to find anything. Does the head need to be removed to do the valve stem seals?

Yes the head need to be removed! As for the seals , i all ways use OEM or i get them from Schnitz racing!

I have never heard about using any Gm seals, but as long as you can find the correct size they should work.
