Velocity stacks??

I dont have them, but it is an upgrade Im considering, I did them on my r6 and 954 and noticed better throttle response..not sure about any actual gains just better response...

You can do a search and you will get some results. I tried the Factory Pro stacks and they sucked big time and actually cost me HP. I wound up using 4 short OEM rubber stacks and got the best results. Beware of advertising claims of increased HP, the stacks look real pretty but they just don't perform.

I believe the Short OEM stacks won out over the factory. Now, Factory says their stacks are made for top end speeds.

I bought the stock small ones to replace the 2 taller ones and gonna put em on tonight or tomorrow. They cost me 20 bucks from the dealer.

I just did a bike this morning, factory shorties work great for the money...

Billet ones work good also but you have to tune for the street/track,there's no ram air on the dyno..

so going with the 2 shortie's....net's??....mid range..what gains,,,$200+ for the billets seem kinda extreme for the lil gain,,,but $20 for a few hp sounds good,,,opinions??

say i go with the 2 shortie's...whats that gonna do as far as mapping?...with the mods in my sig,,.......and anyone have the part #'bers,,,for the shorties?

schnitz racing has the plastic oem short stacks for $25 and i just ordered 'em along with my internal fork lowering blocks...i wanna know real world results too. the info says the longer stacks are for low to mid range rpm gains and the shorts are for higher rpms...my thinkin is the power band's about 5-6k rpms, so why go with lower rpm gain if you dont get a kick in the pants until higher rpms anyway? ...besides, gettin on it hard to intimidate zx14's and pullin the front tire up just front sheer acceleration...:bowdown:

i´ve ordered the two little stacks in my dealer here in barcelona ,and the yamaha r6 throtle, next weekend i will install the both parts, i will comment the results

thanks guys i´m learning a lot in this forum
and my english it´s a bit better

I have Schnitz's short stacks in mine. To the feel and dyno not much gain maybe 1-2hp. It did seem a little more throttle responsive and power band was way smoother. On the plus side you start bumping up the internals they will become more usefull to you. Plus they make a real nice place to drill and tap to install the Nitrous jets.
