Ventura light guard?

Ok, I bought the light guard, and it looks like it does what it says. My problem is with the mounting. Couldn't they think of a better way then 4 big white velcro chunks you have to put on the headlight itself? It looks kinda funny no matter how I position them. Anyone here found a better way to mount this?

I haven't heard of this cover. Where did you get it? Here in Colorado they use gravel (not sand) instead of salt during the winter. Needless to say, bikes get pelted during the spring. I would try using several dots of silicone to keep it in place.

Picked it up at the dealership. I have a few rock dings, and apparently the headlight assembly runs a few hundred dollars, so figured it would be good insurance. I'll try the silicone and see how that goes.

Mbuehler, do you have the company's name that produces the light guard,or a web sight it can be found on.

Mine has a nice collection of very flat bugs on it from today's escapades. This makes a clean headlight a little easier. Just pop off, wash, stick back on. I can also vouch for the fact the velcro holds up quite nicely at 175mph. Somebody else can verify the extreme top end, I wanna keep my license :)
