Voodoo headerand exhaust

So I have the 4-1 full voodoo header and shorty exhaust and it gets crazy hot around my thighs and I'm wondering g if it's the exhaust or just the motor because it's missing the little rubber piece between the motor and fairings at the bottom. Anybody else have this problem or experience it? My last busa was stock exhaust and hadthe rubber pieces and I didn't really feel the heat at all..
