<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'></span>busa rided my group has found a big problem with the busa. the shifter backs itself out doing riding so take the time 2 take it off and lock tight it in. this has happen to 5 or 6 of us in the last month or 2. all were 05 models

Yep, it has happened to a few board members in the past. Some had it happened in some less than desirable situations.

Yep my 05 did it. I tighened the crap out of it, and it has stayed put for a bunch of miles. Hmmm, maybe I really ought to get out the blue locktite.

Lock nut backed out on my "05 also. Dealer checked, said all was ok. I got down and looked for myself and the damn thing was about to fall off. First indications are "clunky" sounding shifts......locktite and lots of it...

Yeah after i got mine out of the shop after first service i checked all the nuts and bolts and mine was also lose so make sure everyone checks it out....

yup, seems to be happening to '05s more than any other year.
