Water pump problems

The nipple on my 08 waterpump where the hose goes to the head came out awhile ago. Has anyone else ever seen this, can it be fixed or is it junk, also will a gen 1 water pump fit a gen 2 motor. Thanks

Sure you could tap and put another NPT barbed fitting in there.
