Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a water to air intercooler from Stedman motorsports on the 28th June and now we are in august 4th.
I paid them over $3000 including shipping and now Iam messaging them to at least get an update on progress and the won't respond at all.
Has anyone dealt with them before and how long did it take?
Are they scamming me?
Should I just make a complaint to PayPal and get my money back?

Pic not mine. Thanks everyone.

The shipping from North America to Australasia (Australia, New Zealand) is extremely slow ever since the Covid lockdown, I'm in NZ and it took 10 weeks for a parcel to arrive from Victoria BC Canada.
You are right about the lack of communication, very disrespectful after you've paid them over $3K . . . afterall, if they explained the shipping issues and showed proof of posting it to you, it would not be such a big issue for you.
I know how nerve wracking it can be, suspecting you have been scammed,
I'm feelin' ya buddy.

Yea bro I dont mind waiting for builing it or posting it. But ignore my messages after seeing it on Facebook messanger is insulting.

@Deez ballz give me a call when you can.
For the board as a group to know where we are with this:
I spoke to two of the folks at Stedman this morning, the woman who usually works in the office (she's working from home) and Jay, who I believe is the owner. Jay said he's not good at the internet, and they're doing their best to handle information while their tech person is out. No issue with returning calls, so that's a plus. The intercoolers are made in runs of 5, and they're currently working on a run.
I'm confident it's not a scam, it's just taking forever.

Thank you very much, you saved me alot of time and money for clearing it up.

I'm glad you cleared that up for him. I plan on a winter turbo build with Stedman motorsports and for a miniute there I was hesitant. Thanks again.

UPDATE, Intercooler kit Steadman/monster

Intercooler damaged during postage( intake ),☹. Fixed it. HEAPS OF METAL FILINGS in the intercooler .( no comment )

Installed the intercooler, went to bleed the air and pump didn't work had a look and it was leaking coolant from the rear of the pump .

The cheap pump had a crack inside the plastic housing letting coolant go to the back and in the circuit board , bought another pump local. Gonna take too long from overseas.

Installed the new pump and ran it works awesome, but leaks started happening from the fittings that were provided bought new fittings and hoses just to be safe.

After install I realised that my lower triple tree was hitting the heat exchanger on the top right side, moved the radiator assembly back as far as I could but still no luck, if only they welded the top part 1/2 inch more to the right it would be very good. Please comment if you had this issue and how you fixed it.

After all that just recently sent it for a tune. Not sure if it was bad luck or what but it was a painful experience, 10 weeks waiting, PayPal cases, no responses, 1 month postage bloody corona etc..

Just glad its over. Just sharing my experience. Not hating on the company. Should have gone RCC I reckon I have heard good things.

@Deez ballz

as a total newby in turbo tech but caused a bit by the gen1 turbo of a buddy i have some questions

intercooler chilled by its own "water" circuit?
how thick is this intercooler? does it give a bit more space for the front tire to work up n down?
how and where ist that all stuff (a 3rd rad. would become necessary if i understand it correctly) to be installed?
what add. waterpump for the chiller circuit at the end will you use to prevent any more cracks in the housing etc.?
do you have any idea what flowrate the pump makes?

the annoying water connector - it should be welded that 1/2 inch "away" by a specialist for alu radiators
like used in cars, trucks and lorries.

do you use whatsapp so you could send me some super precise pics?
would be so very helpful - thanks in advance.
