Weight loss- What to drop??

Just wondering what others have done to drop lbs.. Got the wheels, undecided about losing 1 front rotor, what else???

I went from 186 lbs to 177 in a couple weeks just by eating smaller portions--- oh, you mean the bike; that can get very expensive. Buy yourself a used K5-K6 GSXR-1000 or increase your horsepower.

Travel back to 07 like when the thread took place and coach him to run.

Start Running!!!!!

 LOL funny sh*t (making fun of old threads)

I know the thread is ancient. But here are some ideas for the future generation that will look this up.

Carbon fiber tank - OEM weighs what? 20Lbs?
Full titanium exhaust - TiFORCE baby! Weight lost and HP gain

oh yea, and start running . Your gear is a good 20Lbs so ride naked and pick up chicks too. Dont eat before you race? If you do let out a fart when ur going down the strip, it will give you an extra boost?

on a serious note I would not remove the rotor... had one on my bike and hard stop/ stoppie removed the second one for me right off the forks....

!st thing to drop lb's is get rid of the stock cans
2nd get as much billet stuff you can afford
3rd do what I am trying to do and loose some weight yourself. In full race gear i am around 400 pounds. Thats 1 BIG reason I will never see my bike run 9's with me on it.

i never believed i could drop weight so fast just by eating good food, for a muay thai fight i dropped 14lbs in 4 weeks ( 165 to 151 lbs ) just by switching to vegetables and meat/eggs/chicken/fish and such, and people spend hundreds of dollars on carbon fiber ...

just a thought. if you're a bigger guy, then its even easier to lose weight than if you were an athlete to begin with.

Full exhaust...., then light weight rims, then the smaller stuff on the bike... bolts, covers, etc. the first 2 being the most weight removed at once. Then like the others have been saying.... you loose weight! My 08 weighs in at 550lbs. with all fluids topped off with a full system. Stock it was 585lbs. I weigh in at 183 with riding gear! 733lbs total!

I just pulled my stock exhaust, rectifier bracket. I swear it weighed 35+lbs.. Will weigh tomorrow ad report back.. I am still fat and have no plans to diet....

I'm 320lbs suited and have seen 9.2's onmotor with the clutch slippin and sliding. Clutch is the big factor, you'll need a lockup. Now when i spray it, them lil-fellas better watch out. Big Daddy's coming for you:laugh:

+1..

i dropped 25 in 3 weeks (a bet who can lose the most in a month)

chicken, veggies and red potatoes 3 times a day did it for me.. (oh and 3 hours a day work out)

On my Gen I, I trimmed off nearely 29lbs without taking off the stock exhaust. This consisted of going to lighter wheels (not the lightest) Carrozzeria VStar and removing or replacing small items here and there from the bike without making it look or act like a piece of ****. The weight loss includes items added to the bike such as shift light and some electronics. I've got a detail writing of everthing I did down to the ounce.

On my old Busa, I lost 22lbs from the stock exhaust going to Brock's Hindle GEN 3 exhaust. Stock weighed around 30lbs and the Brock's weighed in at 8lbs. Nice decrease for a stainless steel pipe. Full Titanium you might lose another 2-3lbs.

If you decide to go carbon fiber, there is quite a bit of weight to lose depending how many parts you convert. Carbon Fiber wheels are the most weight loss around but cost way more than I am willing to spend.

I would say it is possible to lose 75lbs total without making the bike look cutup. That is pretty damn good but figure it will cost over $8k at the very least to do that and it will never be as light as a litre bike.
