ok..i havent ridden my bike for like a week...and that was like a 500+ mile trip...anyways i started her up on friday..everything was cool...but today..when i first started her up again...it started cranking but felt like it wasnt engaging..it would start..then die..then finally after 2 or 3 tries..she started...i know i read about a thread on this somewhere, just ignored it..i just wanted to know if anybody had this happened to them..and yes my battery is in tip top shape...that was the first one i checked...and the wires for it...does anybody know what caused this???

I always cycle my pump on/off 3 times and it usually starts first try.

huh???

enlighten me...

pressurizing the fuel system, he is letting the pump run until it stops a couple of time.

I also let the pump come to a stop before starting.

Do you use the "choke" when it is cold?

kinda funny when you said "choke"..i actually choked myself...lol..anyways yeah i do use it..that just actually helps the bike warm up faster...i dont think it does anything since our bikes are fuel injected..

no exactly fuel injected, throttle body injectors...

Using the fast idle (choke) does beat holding the throttle @ 2k for a couple of minutes...
