I almost traded my 4x4 F-150 for a Lightning...the guy wanted a 4X4 to go hunting and didn't have the space to hang onto the Lightning...it was going to be an even up trade.

I sure mulled that over but I would have had to store it for the winter and then get another truck for the winter and at the time I had 5 bikes so common sense prevailed and I kept my 4x4.

Thought about my own lightning… Coyote single cab and drop a blower on top. I d seen a few done already and they’re quite nasty!
I’ve thought about that also but you’re better off in the long run to just buy a late model RCSB to do the same thing.

This is my 3rd lightning but I always wanted a 04 dsg hertiage since it was the last year made took me months to find a low miles gem 2 owner florida truck and couldn't be happier now with 500hp. For the camaro it's my 4th but always wanted a zl1 with the 6 speed and boy Carmella puts a huge smile on my face, I test drove a c8 but I guess I've got used to having a supercharger lol and soon there will be no more manual monsters so I will enjoy her for 2 years then it's zo6 time.

Both cars are pretty ferocious, I've read the auto transmission in the GT is like having a quick shifter compared to a manual....people can't shift as fast as the auto can.

I can see that....
The 10spd is in the F150 and Mustang too.
I have the 10spd in my F150, with the 3.5eco-boost...which has 100 more lb' of torque than the 5.0(Ford won't put the 3.5eb in the Mustang for this reason)
My Dad had an '18 Mustang 5.0 with the 10spd also.
Either transmission gives you that motorcycle quickshifter feel, as they bang through the gears Really quickly in Sport mode, they are very impressive.
The 10spd can also withstand well over 1200hp...in stock form.
Ford and GM teamed up for it too, as GM is using basically the same transmission now.

The 8 speed in my Ram is pretty stout as well-it is a Mercedes design I'm told....

The gear changes are almost undetectable.

Yes, those 3.5 H.O. ecos are pretty crazy...510 ft/lbs of torque is nothing to sneeze at...

Mine is the standard gen2 3.5eb
375hp 490 trq
The H.O(Limited and Raptor only)is as you say 450hp 510 trq
Mine will get there with a flash and intercooler...but void my 100k mile/6yr warranty. So at 21k miles in 2 1/2 years...I wait, lol.
A coworker has an '18 Ram with the 5.7 and 8spd, and it's a nice truck.
He says the same, he can barely feel it shift.
My f150 is the same, smooth undectable shifts, and sometimes it skips gears.
But, I keep it in Sport mode, hard shifts, holds gears longer, and learns your driving habits...so I nail it, ease back, and it stays in whatever gear, at high rpm, just waiting, like come on lets go! lol

I was considering a Pro-charger for my Ram..I have short tube headers going into a stock exhaust system and soon a Vararam intake (should be here just after Christmas). I may get a Diablo ECU as well.

I am at a cross roads at not wanting to put a whole lot of time or money into it. It only has 60,000kms on it and is a '16 and I plan on having it for a while.
