Went for a ride on a busa (pillion)

Went down to the local dealer before work a few days back and they decided to take me out for a ride on the back of a sleek black Hayabusa.
A bit about me, I'm only 20, been riding for about 5 1/2 months.
Here in NZ (for those that don't know) you have 3 stages of license for bikes.
Learners (no greater than 250cc) - this is what I'm on.
Restricted (no greater than 660cc, but ecu limited models only)
Full (can ride anything)
On a Hyosung GT250R for now, so much fun.

Anyways, back to the busa, went out on it and had so much fun.
Holy mother of god, that bike is FAST. Got up to 200kmh (120mph) and had a few wheelies.
But I swear, it's like taking off in a plane, except you hold on and don't get pushed into your seat.

Not many bikes will do 160kmh in 1st, with a pillion to boot, but that did.
Scary bike if you don't know how to ride, but hey, now I really want one.

I could be wrong as I have a Gen I but 160 kph is 99mph and that seems high.

Maybe more like 115 kph which would be a little over 70 mph.

I guess some of it depends on how far into the redline you are willing to take it.

Not to mention that we all know the speedometers are off usually saying you are going faster then you really are. :banghead:

:welcome:
Can you tell us what it takes to move up to the next level of licence? Age? Miles rode? Passing more test?

Next licence stage takes 6 months at learners + passing a test where they tell you what to do, and follow you.
Shouldn't be too hard I guess, just have to stop taking off so fast

And it's a red Hyo.

Welcome.

My brother had a Gtr250 in Cyprus. Very nice bike and compared to a ninja 250 it was fairly equal.
Here's a pic from the dealer of one like it. His was silver.

I think hi-oh-sung but don't quote me on that. My Korean is about 100% rusty.

I've got about 13 months before I can get onto my full, provided I don't lose it for speeding between now and then...
