Went to the beach today!

Ive been off work for about 2 weeks(military leave) and my wife works too, which leaves me at the house by myself. i spend most of my time here on the org. I been reading and seein quite a few of you guys riding and it got to me this morning, so i cleaned er up and took er out to the beach, yes it was cold, on the way back home, i decided it was time to invest in heated gloves. any input on best heated gloves at a decent price?

crazy, yes, im not gonna lie it was cold. i layered up with some under armour cold weather gear and was just fine, put my glove liners in and my alpinestar gloves...and my hands still froze! i could ride all day if i could keep my hands warm!

nice pics Wes. The bike looks great. Wish you had been here when we took our annual new Years day ride this year. It was only in the mid 30s this year where one year when your 08 Gixxer was new it was 29 when we left the house.

Yeah, cold hands stop me too. I'm thinkin bout riggin some dirtbike plastic handguards on the Busa, if I can keep the wind off of em I'll be able to ride longer.

I really hate riding with electric gear on. Everything is so bulky even if you have the new stuff. I guess it's way better than trying to ride with no electric gear. Geez the only difference between the base and here is 4" of snow and a couple degrees.

I feel the same about cold hands. They are the first thing to make me head home. I would love to ride but way to many cinders on the road from the snow over the weekend.I gues Ill just have to go out on the wheeler. Very sweet looking bike. It looks to realy lean hard.Is that a shorter side stand?

Does anyone remeber(or know where to buy) the OLD dirtbike handguards? They were very flexible, not the hard plastic kind. I think they were usually nylon, and they velcroed around the bars. Seem like they would work good on the Busa.
I'm waitin on a tire, hope to be ridin in a the next week of this great weather

GG08, there are alot of manufacturers to choose from...do a Google search. I use Gerbings..I also have a full jacket liner that i wear underneath my jacket that attaches to the gloves. I have a dual controller so that I can control the heat in the gloves versus the jacket...It took about 5 minutes to attach the electrics to the bike battery and you feed a small wire that fits between seat and tank..tucks away nicely when not in use. Man these things are hot...so I usually don't ride with them on over a 1 or 2 setting...Hope it helps..2hip

yea i remember that. i wish i was there too, doesnt look like im gonna make it to the bash, ill be comin back from mojave viper training on the 26th, the last day of the bash def. wont be here in the fall, ill be deployed this summer. maybe spring 2011, so far away!
