What’s the max lean angle?

Went for a spirited ride today through Mt Cheaha and had it almost to edge of tire. Getting used to the bike still. My s1000xr was a bit more nimble but the Busa is actually pretty close (shocking).

Leaned to 42 degrees. Anyone know the lean when pegs hit?

Btw I had “B” mode bc I was sliding a bit in the corners and wanted to try out the TC is a full lean. It’s sure lights up a lot haha

A little embarrassing but I tested what angle the pegs scrape on my Gen2 by dropping it in the driveway. My Sato rearset adjusted all the way up just barely touched. There was a small tick in the finish under the tip of the peg. The vertical surface at the end of the peg is what the bike rested on and that would have been after the bike had fallen completely over. Rider weight and G force in a curve would compress the suspension more than mine was just sitting there though.
 
Different tires will have various max lean angles and be able to reach them faster than others. With a Pirelli 60 profile rear and the high angle of these tires on a Gen 2 I can hit into the 50's. But my peg feelers are now little sharp lances, oh and I scrapped the stator cover since my front fork springs were not as stiff as I needed to the speed I was taking the curve at. Won't lean that deep again. Good thing I upgraded it to a billet.

How do you know the lean angle measurement? Do you have a gauge on the gen2? I was wondering if we could
Use the gauge to see how close we are without sticking my knee out and touching ground without a knee puck

I measured the angle of all the steel I wore off. Also did a second measure without load from the center of the contact patch. With my setup then I think max lean for me was 57. But that's with Akro Exhaust, a aftermarket rear shock with 10mm of clevis ride height adjustment, 60 profile rear tires and 20mm of preload on the rear along with raising the forks in the front. Now with my new 65 profile rear and matching front I should be able to hit 60 degrees of lean. Running 1.3 springs in the front to keep my ride height high in the stroke.
 
I found a app that looked rather interesting for measuring lean angles on a Android phone. My bike is out of commission waiting on a hydraulic hose for the rear shock. It's called Bike Sensor. One of the features I liked was that you can program a voice call out on max lean angle. So if you have any sort of communication setup it be sweet to try this out. Here is a photo of the app screen. If someone can try it out and say how well it works that be great.

Hi. On that 65 profile is that a road race slick? Who makes it please
 
I don't quite get the excitement of a lean angle gauge....I don't know when you'd have time to look at it while riding...and leaning....

I can picture someone looking down to see their lean angle in a corner only to look up and end up in the trees...
That's why this one is so interesting. It talks to you thru your helmet speakers. No more eating trees or gravel checking max lean angles lol.
