What’s your preferred way to make sure the wheel is straight/chain is aligned in the front sprocket?

Like the title says, I’m about to swap to a 520 setup and want to make sure everything is perfect to not throw a chain or eat sprockets. Bike has a 6 over evil arm as well.

I use a laser to check alignment on my supercharger belts in my Z, I figure there’s gotta be something for bikes too

Perfect alignment every time

Deceiving it can be. That's why I prefer to look under the skirt while simultaneously checking for a bulge from the forward neck area...

Of all the bikes I’ve ever owned the marks on the swingarm seemed to work fine. Do we really need to get it down to exact thousandths?
Totally agree and no we don't. It's not a bad idea to check the alignment marks but, it's not like the alignment marks move?? So check them once, make sure they are accurate but than going forward just use the alignment marks on the swingarm. All my years racing and riding on the street, dirt or MX i've never had sprockets chewed up or worn prematurely.
