What are they really spewing into the air above ?

I’m sure you didn’t mean that the hair drier absorbs the moisture. It does, as you described earlier in the sentence, heat the air particles causing them to be more absorbent of the water vapor, so the heated air absorbs the water. Otherwise a hairdryer would have a water tank that needs emptying periodically.
You spoiling my fun.

Over to you now, you teach him how a hair dryer works, how the water gets absorbed into the air, and what would cause the air to form a cloud and release the water back out of the air.

I can see you had 8th grade physics, he missed the class.

Correction, I see it they teach this to 4 year old kids these days.

Sorry but this has reached the limits of my memory. All I remember about 8th grade is...well, pretty much, girls. I do remember something about molecules in water being more active; moving around more and faster, with increased temperature, but the connection of how that helps them turn into vapor eludes me. Makes sense when you watch a pot of water boil.

I'm trying to have this conversation this without the help of Mr Google, just for old times sake.

Here is a simple answer.

Dew point = the temperature at which the water vapor in the air condenses into liquid water.

Humidity is the percentage of water vapor in the air.

The relationship between relative humidity and temperature is inversely proportional. So it follows that if we increase air temperature, the relative humidity drops. In laymen’s terms, it means as the temperature increases, the air becomes dryer. As the temperature decreases, the air becomes wetter.

This is how a hair dryer works. The hot air is dry, so it evaporates the water in our hair, and the water becomes water vapor.

A jet engine has two components, which draws the line in the sky. One, the byproduct of burnt jet fuel includes water, with the exhaust heat, that water is immediate absorbed into the air as water vapor. The heat from the jet engine heats the air, making it very dry. As with the hair dryer, that dry air now absorbs more water vapor from the surrounding air.

As the affected air now cools down, the relative humidity increases, until it reaches 100% relative humidity. If it cools down further (pretty cold up there) the air reaches its dew point, turning water vapor into liquid water. During that process, visually it appears exactly the same as a cloud, with the jet stream being what we see as a line in the sky.

C’mon Red, I thought you were going to help me out here?

OK cloud seeding geniuses, what's the meaning of this ?

So I don't know anything about cloud seeding although I've watched documentaries on it so I do know that it does take place....

From what I saw they used both very fine particles so that water vapor would adhere to it and then drop as rain and I've seen them use basically torches to heat the air so that it condenses and drops rain.....nothing was mentioned about some chemical although that could make sense except the chemical would then transfer to the ground via rain......which would most likely be not good....

My big questions to all this cloud seeding is:

If it works and is proven science....then why are their still severe droughts?

Couldn't this technology be used to create clouds and rain where and when it is needed? And if so why isn't it?

Good question. I’d bet Bee might have some input.
Sorry, don't know enough about the air force...

Maybe they are doing a grid pattern for searching from a high altitude or training crews for this?

There are a lot of surveillance aircraft and refueling aircraft that might fly in this pattern staying on station...?

I can't see a military air asset being used for cloud seeding as it wouldn't be a tactical or strategic function for them...

@BigBSBusa would know far more than I about what the air force does....

The not helping out with droughts takes us down more rabbit holes...the ones that say that our governments are full of wonderful people out for the good of humanity...vs those that serve themselves and the wealthy elite that prop them up.
Ideas like wildfires that have left those without fire insurance, or those who cannot handle inflation, the inability to rebuild there due to cost, and the land being bought by big corporations, and/or for future Smart City programs(which are also not conspiracy, with plans and locations clearly laid out for the near future).
And, as I mentioned earlier, that no one would touch, the great Bill Gates wanting to fog the upper atmosphere of earth with small reflective particals, in order to dim sunlight and cool the planet.
That isn't a conspiracy either, those are his words in several speeches and interviews.
No one wished to comment on NASA's cloud making machines on the ground either, which have been around for Decades...but don't seem to be common knowledge to the naysayers.
And yes, clouds are also obviously a completely natural phenomenon...but mankind and science are also involved now, and have been for a long time.
But, it's as if it is all sci-fi nonsense to many.
I have a hard time comprhending the mindset of those that live in a very black and white here and now, with no forward thinking comprehension of what technologies may be and are in the works for the future public, let alone what is behind closed doors and will remain classified for years to come.
That there is no understanding that military research and capabilities are years ahead of what the general public has access to.
I have also witnessed chem-trails being sprayed multiple times, and still do to this day, I saw it as recently as last week.
As I have discussed here several times, I have a huge view of the sky, have at most of the places I have lived in my life, and the majority being in this area.
I see military activity and obvious training manuvers regulary.
I can see the commercial traffic and watch the flight paths out of Richmond Va, DC, NY, along with the local airport about 25 miles north.
I watch them take off within miles and minutes of one another.
On certain days, the entire sky is blue, cloudless, and No aircraft leave Any contrails, even jets that are at 35k ish feet and a hundred miles apart, so the atmospheric conditions are not right anywhere in the view field for contrails.
One jet takes off, no contrail.
Next jet, no contrail.
Next jet, contrails...and contrails that spread out into a strange haze(yes, the wind is blowing up there), and a haze that lingers across the entire field of view for hours.
This is Not the cumulous looking cloud, white and puffy condensation trail that disapates in a much shorter span of time either, or that the wind eventually thins out into nothing visable.
This is also over Many years, with countless wind conditions, temperatures, humidity levels, and flight paths.
For someone to say that 'jet engines leave condesation trails' to me is a foolish statement...as they do Not always leave con-trails, as they are weather condition dependant.
I think that many people rarely to never look up, or live in heavily populated areas, with so much light polution that any view of the night sky is limited, let alone paying attention in the daylight.
These people tend to scoff, call names, and keep their head in the sand, where they are comforatble within their own understanding.
Anything to the contrary is nonsense.
And myself, or anyone else could claim experiences, events, drop names, provide pictures, all to no avail, as we live in an age of photoshop and the annominity of the internet.
Open minded intelligent conversation is a difficult thing to find as a result.
So, I just keep my head down...and my tin-foil hat on tight, lol

I don't write off everything as a conspiracy theory as I've seen things that are either seemingly impossible, illegal or hard to relate to others.

I do know one thing though....if this was a lucrative prospect, greedy corporations would be all over it and charging a huge premium to provide this.

So this leads me to wonder just how effective it is....
