What brands and models of leather match the blue Bus?

I tried on a black with blue perforated Fieldsheer 2pc. suit today, and the color match was just about perfect. I am shopping fit and safety features, but price and colors are considerations also. Joe Rocket has a blue/purple color that looks gay. Alpinestars has several blues, but I haven't seen any that are close enough yet. Has anybody checked the Spidi Hook or Ring against the blue Bus? I am open to sugestions at this point. Sizing is a little tough. I am about 5'11" and 180# with a 32" waist and a 46" chest. It seems that suits designed for my height and weight end up loose in the waist and tight in the chest.
 
Give Bill a call at 606-336-7375 he runs a custom leather business mostly for racers but he can make anything. I mean ANYTHING. It looks like factory stuff too. No home made look. He made me a pair of pants to match my factory Vanson/Suzukijacket for the copper busa and it looks and fits great.

Since everything he does is custom he can fit your body too. Sounds like you need to eat more doughnuts and spend less time at the gym !!! I bet it is hell to get a dress suit for yourself too.

got the same helmet for my birthday Aug, 3... waiting for my busa to arrive! I am watching this thread with interest, cause I am doing a similar style. What do you think of black leathers, the RR Roberts JR, and blue bus?

I got a last year's Vanson blue/white suit(1 piece) that matches the 2nd look bra better than the bike but is close. Paid 895.

You WANT that puppy tight Kirk, last time I went down I had on my fieldsheer jacket, the elbow pads rolled under and I got rashed pretty good. I think I can jump off a cliff in the Vanson tho. :)

I don't want to look like one of the Village People. My black Joe Rocket Speedway jacket looked great with blue jeans, but when combined with the black Joe Rocket pants, people would ask me which bike was mine if there was just my blue Bus and a Harley parked out front. I also want the safety of hard armor and the safety of a one piece suit or at least a full zip 2 piece. I understand that the SPIDI Hook is perforated in the chest, and the SPIDI Suzuka has double layer leather in critical areas. Anybody know anything else about them that I should know?
 
Ordered my lid and suit today. I held an Arai RR4 Kenny Roberts blue helmet up to the bike and the blue is a fade. The darkest blue at the bottom matches the bike perfect. I also ordered a SPIDI Hook 1 piece suit in blue. I can't believe that no one in town had a shred of SPIDI dark blue leather for me to hold up to the bike. I guess I just take my chances. It would have to be pretty bad for me not to like it. One of the other guys in our group just got a red Hook to match his red R1, and that suit looks great. I'll feel much better about burying the speedo now.
 
I have a Spidi Suzuka Blue/Black/Silver 2pc. suit. I also own a 2000 silver/blue busa..suit and bike match perfect..I recommend Spidi brand to anyone who wants a true racing suit. They are costly but my suit is great. I am 6' 170 slim frame and suit size 52 still allows me to wear full kevlar/carbon back protector with full degree of motion available..hope this helps in your leathers search..
 
Thank you, junkie. I needed to hear that. I hope that the blue Hook is the same blue as the Suzuka. I looked at the Suzuka, but could only find a 54, it was a hundred dollars more, and it was not perforated. How is the waist? SPIDI says the 52 is for a 33" waist and I have a 32" waist. Mine is a 1 piece.
 
You know, I don't really look it. I just kind of get this "Rocky the flying squirrel" look if I do anything with my lats. It causes my chest size to fluctuate about 4" depending on whether I'm working out or not. I see other guys that are normal shaped and they seem to fit off the shelf stuff. I guess I just have to shop brands. I would be comfortable with a foot of stagger from waist to chest. It appears that SPIDI has one dark blue color. I see it on the Raptor, the Suzuka, and the Hook. It may also be the same dark blue on the Falcon and the Ring. I can't get the SPIDI web site to work. Can anyone fill me in on color match and sizing? I want to get this done. I think I am going to pick up an Arai RR4 Kenny Roberts Jr. replica also. It's blue, it's got the bird thing, and I don't know anything about racing, but I think he is a hired gun for Suzuki.
 
I found a SPIDI sizing chart. This may work. Their size 52 is for 5'10" / 175# / 33" waist. That's one inch and 5lbs max difference.
 
since mine is a 2 pc suit--which i prefer over 1 pc, because i like to use my jacket separate, with my kelval jeans. Waist is adjustable by a leather velcro strap. ziper is a heavy duty kind that will last you a lifetime. my suit is fully perforated in the chest area and it has a cool lining that is fully perforated so you wont sweat much when stuck in traffic. Hope to see you and your suit at the bikeoctober fest in daytona, I live in Jax, fla ab. 45 minutes away at 160 mph.
 
L-P says the Suzuka has been discontinued. You won't see me in Florida anytime soon. I live in Portland Oregon. Thanks for the invite.
