Soon I need to change plugs oil filter and oil and a new clutch. I'm wondering what everyone is using and how they like/dislike the products. This last season I used Mobil 1 motorcycle oil and didn't mind it but really have nothing to compare it to. Clutch I was looking at apes trac clutch, any info on that one would be great. Also how often does everyone change there oil in a busa?

Oem filter and Mobil 1 for me, do the oil every 3k. Modern Oils will last longer but I'm used to the every 3k thing. Believe I've got the cr9 plugs as well, whatever the manual said to get, I got.

stock plugs, zuki oil with a k&n filter and a BMC air filter.I will go a different oil next time but wanted to use my zuki oil up as I had a couple gallons.

Used an amsoil filter with amsoil synthetic motorcycle oil this time. Only ridden once so far with it. It does seem to be a little smoother, vibration wise. I usually change the oil once a year. Ive only been averaging around 4000 miles a year though

I use the oem filter and mobil bike specific synthetic 10/40 oil. The stock filter is about the best around, suzuki recommends running it for 36 months or every 3rd oil change on some model bikes. Nobody else recommends running their filter at those intervals. Plus its one of the best constructed. And the mobil bike oil you can run for extended changes with no reduction in shifting quality like you get with alot of other oils. Great combo imo  I change my oil every 8k miles or 2 years  And I've always heard from everywhere (all over the net, local and online shops etc) stock clutch plates are the best for durability and dependability.
There's a forum here Bob Is The Oil Guy - Forums powered by UBB.threadsâ„¢ A good portion of the forum members (including bike riders) test their oils after different length oil change intervals and post up the results. You'd be amazed how long a good synthetic will go before it starts to break down

You really arent helping to reenforce my paranoia ya know :moon:

cr9eix iridium plugs, oem oil filter, k&n air filter thinking about switching to bmc race they say they put down better numbers, switching to mobil 1 bike synthetic and stick with a stock clutch if you ride regularly its more dependable

so its looking like i should go suzuki filter mobil 1 synthetic but still thinking about the other clutch since its only $160 with plates:laugh:

so i have to jack my own thread and say thanks alot fastfrog

as an actual motorcycle mechanic ill tell you i swear by stock clutches for daily ridden bikes.. if its a purpose built bike like a drag bike or track bike then go aftermarket for a specialty clutch but ive seen the stockers last ALOT longer and be more dependable but thats just my .02
