I had the same issues. More than likely its your idle too low. 900 - 1100 is whats recommended. I keep mine set right on 1000 rpm. Good luck and post up what you find out.
you really dont need the screwdriver to be that long get a regular sized one it should fit. look at the tachometer. when the bike gets warm turn the screwdriver until it stats to raise the rpm's to at least 1100 or a little above the 1 on the tach. you should be good after that. some people say the screw vibrates loose , so you might want to put some lock tight on the screw to keep it from backing out again. hope this helps
Can raise the tank to get sat the screw with ease. Tank rod that holds your tank up should be under you hump/rear seat. like stated you want the motor idling at 110ish warm. That lever by the clutch is a fast idle lever. You use that to boost idle when she is cold and put it back to original position after she warms up. Many confuse it thinking it is a Choke.
You can also use that "fast idle" lever to temp adjust your idle till you get in there with a screwdriver.
1st pick is the actual idle screw. 2nd is for the fast idle if it needs adjusting. Fast idle should bring motor up to about 3500rpm(warm)...
The FI light should not come on from a stall just because the RPMs are too low. My RPMs are too low and mine stalls (It is too hot for me to want to get in there and adjust it ) and my FI light does not come one. I would think there is another problem... Vaccuum lines I dont think can cause and FI light?.. I am not sure though
