What I did today...

Never Forgotten
Each year my hospital participates in wrapping grifts for a local charity organization called Chattannoga Kids on the Block. CKOB provides a safe haven and education for abused children. Their teaching is done via puppet shows and are quite entertaining. This is the fourth year in a row that I have wrapped presents to raise money for CKOB at Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga...Here are a couple of pics :)

Great Job Don!

Of course I have photo's and a story to add as well.

As you all know, I'm a recent transplant to this area, trying to settle down. At least this time, I am planning to stay a little longer in the area, so it gives me the opportunity to give to the area.

The people I work with have organized a Bike Drive, they have a drive to raise money and buy as many bikes possible and work with the local schools in order to give these bikes away. This year, the group collected enough to buy over 170 bikes plus helmets. I worked to pick up the bikes and was fortunate enough to be able to deliver some today. So, today I went to the schools I was slated to deliver the bikes to, meet the kids, parents, and teachers. To see the look in the kids eyes and the happiness. Something so little can make such a difference.

I didn't bring the pictures home with me, but I did have two pictures from when we picked up some of the bikes from Walmart last week.

PS - Walmart give a big 10% discount...

And good for you too Ted...I don't think there is anything that makes a kid happier than getting a new bicycle :beerchug:

There isn't anything that makes me happier than getting a new bike too... (well almost)
