It's like comparing speed to downhill skiers or skydivers. They reach terminal velocity faster than just about any motorized vehicle out there.
Speaking of roller coasters, I just recieved this from a friend that organizes corporate events at many of the Florida theme parks:
I wanted to share my experience with the new Roller Coaster at Busch Gardens.
1st of all this coaster is one of three in the world with a 90 degree drop of over 180 feet.
2nd the cars will hold 24 people per car. Three rows of 8 people. Each row is elevated a little higher then the previous row
3rd the support beams of the roller coaster are filled with sand to assist with decreasing some of the noise of the ride
4th the second drop at about 80 degrees for only about 120 ft(? ) actually goes down 30 feet under ground up and out and through a lake. This is where you get to spray all the people watching.
4th This ride is similar in length as Montu at Busch Gardens
5th There are a lot of twists and turns
6th Don’t forget the 4 ½ second pass at the top when the car dangles over the edge before it heads down the 180 feet drop.
It will open to the general public on Friday. IF you are a florida resident please get a fun card and have fun the rest of the year. It is well worth it.
I think I need to have the kids check it out
