What is this

I raised my gas tank to adjust my throttle on my 05 Busa and I saw some wiring that didn't look factory. It had a label from Checkered Flag Motorsports. Anybody know what it is. I thought it might be wiring to cancel the top speed limiter. I bought the bike used. The owner had told me about most the mods but I don't remember him saying anything about this.

It is a TRE. To remove top speed limit.

Thanks. That is what I thought it was. I don't think I have broke 100 yet. One less thing I will ever have to add though.

You should remove it immediatly thse things are dangerous! please send it to me I find some days im running a little late for work and 186 isnt quite fast enough! its for your own good really!

If your bike begins to have hard starting issues or it starts running rich, then remove it. Simple unplug and reconnect the two left over connectors.
