What is your guess in hp and tq with the ecu unlocked Gen3

You talking RWHP?

This is a real hard thing to guess as each dyno and set up is slightly different...not to mention each individual bike is slightly different. You might get more and you might get less it all depends.

If you look at a video made by Chris Moore with his fully built Gen 3 he made 233 RWHP and 125 ft/lbs...and that is a 1475 build.....

This thread will go the way of the tire, chain and oil threads....there will be a whole pile of opinions...

We might as well wait until they break into the ECU (if they can).

I personally don't think it will be a whole lot more (or different) than a similarly set up gen 2.

Am I not a subject matter expert on this matter. but 200hp for me is more than good. Right now busa is not a big priority for tuners, 1000rr are the target for all those who have fast bikes, but let me tell you something guys, as soon as busa ECU is "unlocked"it will be a big surprise for many people, so stay tuned and be patient.

Thank you thats the whole idea about the thread opinions i think CM is missing something there because the other HTP Gen3 build had much better numbers

We did a recent discussion on the HTP build..

I don't think the ECU will be unlocked. I think you can add a PC or something with a pipe for maybe 5-10 HP. It will take a new ECU to get to the power and tune it. I think this is the new reality. Hope I'm wrong though but you asked what I thought.
They are unable to crack the ECU on my Ram....Diablo made a piggy back ECU for it..

I've read many threads on many forums regarding the RAM ECU...there were a lot of people trying to crack it.

On the Camaro platform, until 2019 (or maybe little later) we could tune the 10spd TCM (trans computer). Later years are locked. The way people have started getting around it since it is not cracked yet is they put the previous TCM. Not the best way to do it, but seems to work. Obviously we can't do that between the Gen2/Gen3, but I suppose is may be feasible to lose all the Gen 3 tech and use a Gen2 PCM?

Yeah i saw the discussion on the build

My .02. probably close to the same as any gen2 about 165-175 stock depending on break-in and the dyno. Now put a good proper header length 4in1 exhaust maybe another 20hp. Also, with the new 4in1, losing maybe 20 plus pounds of weight too! Go on diet and lose 50lbs of body fat, hey hey, you got a fast bike for $2000 or less. Put an auxiliary fueling model with a p5 or whatever it will be called for the gen3, yes 200-210 on a fast broken-in bike like Motoman. Also, aw crap is he going to shut up or what? Put a pair of carbon wheels, then you got a super flickable, fast, comfortable with cruise control superbike, now you got something and that's the modified king of the road, the mighty, Magnificant, stupendous, colossal and looks too, gen3 Hayabuuuuuusa!! Yeee ha www boys, let's haul azz!

Im personally waiting for someone to start selling the MoTec. Rather have the MoTec any hoot once ready to go boosted. Just dropping 7k on a 6466 Turbo Kit for my car what's another 5k for a real ECU for the busa. The best part of the economy at the moment is, I'm working 3 jobs banking every week because people not willing to work.
