I just got my new Chaparral catalogue and they have "NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN THE USA" stamped on all of the pages with Arai helmets.

Anyone know what's going on?

It prob. has to do with chapparel (They're Chessy to deal with) and not Arai. Go to helmetshop.com and you'll blow Capparels prices out of the water.

chap sukkks, they once sent me motocross tires and billed my credit card. i didnt even order tires let alone motocross tires.
they gave me a hard time about returning them.

I agree with Falcon, Chapparal's always been a cheesy operation to deal with...at least whenever I called and tried spending money with them have proven.

Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse does a decent job and they have Arai helmets in stock.

I thought it only fair to mention I've had great luck with Chapperal on lots of orders over the years. I have a friend who had bad luck with Motorcyle Acce Warehouse. Just goes to show "you pay your money, ya takes your chances"......... BTW this is one great web site, still wish I could hear from some Marylanders about thier 'Busa's... thanks

Don,
I was recently at Chaparral and bought an Arai RX7-RR4. The guy who sold it to me said it was the last one and there wouldn't be any more. When I asked why, he said that Chaparral had advertised some prices which angered Arai and because of that Arai was severing the relationship. Too bad. I've been involved in four bike purchases, countless retail transactions in the store, and several mail order transactions. I've returned lots of stuff lots of times. I've had bikes serviced there. I've never had a problem. I'm not saying the other guys didn't get screwed, but I know I've been treated OK.

Can't speak for Chapp but have spent most of my discretionary income over the last 10 years with Competition Accessories. Can't recall I have ever had a problem but do shop around and then if necessary, negotiate to get a good deal with them. They are willing to deal.

Maybe you should have kept the motorcross tires, put them on and played Tom Cruise in MI2. Then you could have been doing stoppies while turning and shotting a gun on beach sand.

never ever had a problem with chapparal...once even ordered 4 pairs of leather pants because i didnt know what size fit me, then returned 3 pairs. i told them what i was doing, and they were cool with it.. the place is awesome to visit... H-U-G-E!!! of course, never had problems wit other sites listed either..
