What should I do? non org vendor related

I bit the bullet and off of some board suggestions I purchased a popular item to lower my big ol girl down a bit and for now I'll keep the vendor quiet. I actually went off ebay as I typically have success their as this vendor has an ebay store and if it goes bad you can sound back.

I ordered the items for the front as I wanted to use a different option in the back. Got the tracking number Saturday and the item showed up today around noon. FAST AS HELL!! SAWEET!

I knew my evening would be filled with working on my bike getting her like I wanted. Opened up the package that felt awfully small anyway and turns out wasnt what I needed for the front of my ebay sale at all. It was for a ninja 650 1st gen as thats what was written on the outside of the package AND on the baggie on the inside. My add clearly showed the satin black lowering block and in the description had my year hayabusa written all over it but they clearly goofed.

NOW. I sent a very polite and professional ebay message around noon and heard nothing. I sent a gmail email around 3pm my time in the same polite tone and still have yet to hear anything.

Am I being a panzy expecting them to reply so quickly or should they have been on it like i would want them to be?

What would you do?

I would give it a day. They may be trying to track down what happened and respond with a solution ready for you. Plus it may just be one or two people and it can take some time. Be patient and i hope it works out for you.

Yeah I dont wanna go into one of those infamous rants and then have the vendor come back with legit reason or resolution and have me look like the clown. Especially when so many like their products

Give it some time. It could be.just one or two people in the company. Give it until the end of the day tomorrow before you start with more agressive tactics.

give them a day or 2 some times it takes a little while but if they dont answer make sure u open a case on ebay so u can get your money back

Be patient grasshopper.

How fast we reply here doesn't always carry over to the real world.
A busy business may have many emails to respond to. From item sold to item closed to item relisted to item shipped it goes on and on. Their inbox is most likely full daily. I bet they respond soon. Don't know of any sponsors here who won't.

Yes'a Massa....... (insert humor)

THX ALL

well. it got fixed.

Soupysperformance contacted me back and realized what goof happened cause ninja dude got my stuff. They sent me another tracking number with my item with an envelope to send mine back. Thats a win

For Future Reference:

Give it 24 hours for a seller to respond. 48 if it is a big seller. If they do not respond within 72 hours, get very aggressive and threaten actions through ebay and paypal to get your money back (dont actually file any claims yet, you have 45 days to do that). It works very well. Get straight to the point. It will either get them in gear or get you your money back.

I have had to do it enough times to count on one hand. 1 or two actually escalated to me having to file claims but I have yet to be screwed out of money.

and you could have gotten a discount probably!

I ordered some risers from Soupys for my gen 2 and they had super fast handling/shipping even though it was around the July 4th holiday. Glad they fixed it for ya, everyone makes mistakes.

cause ninja dude got my stuff.

 It's an industry run by humans.

Email is tough. We can get like 50-75 legit ones per day on a global scale. It's a mad, mad, mad world. We swim in email.

Likely 30% of our business transactions are conducted entirely by email one-on-one.

Glad The Soup took care of ya. If that was us, just pick up the phone and call.

Actually this exact thing happened to me about a year ago. What had happened was.... they sent me and another guy the mixed up parts, sent us both return boxes and then sent us the parts as soon as he got them. It was easy, hassel free, and best of all I didn't have to pay for any shipping.... Though my bike WAS down for a week because I had prepared for it ahead of time. Ah well, it'll be aight man. :beerchug:

Couldn't agree more.

Sorry about that. Very busy time of year for us, not that we're making excuses because we sure are happy to be busy.

Thanks everyone!
