Just wondering to what sprockets can be ran for better acceleration with out taking or adding links to the chain? is a 16/43 possible with just adjustment? thank you

better learn to lean forward your going to be in the air in 2nd and 3rd now...LOL have fun...im running 17/43
check out this web site too Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Gearing Ratio Sprocket RPM Speed Chain Calculator
it will allow you to enter the make/model/year of bike, then it has 3 settings for sprockets where you can compare the outcome and ratios in a chart and it gives you the rpm for any given speed etc.... you wil be able to tell how much top end you will gain or lose, and it will give you the ratio's for any tire size you run too....

You can use 16T front or 43T rear or 16T front combined with 43T rear but you can't go larger than 43T on the rear without changing the front sprocket.

im 10 over so the front end will not come up to easy. maybe with the spray on the launch and some shock work??? doubt it though

um, isnt 16t front 43t rear and 16t front 43t rear the same thing?

no stock is 17/40 he is saying you can use
16/40
17/43
16/43
you can also run
18/43 which is what i run, but this is very slight difference..but stock gearing on gen 2
i don't like going down to much on the front id rather have a larger rear, the chain doesn't like to wrap around the smaller sprockets to well
you could go 17/45 17/46
keep in mind that since you have the stretch, it may not wheelie but being 10 over you arent going to hook up at all ...you will be fighting to get traction....
