What tail's will fit on my Busa

I am new to this forum and found that people put other tail sections from other bikes on there busa. I was wondering what other tails will fit and how much work will it take to get it on there. If anyone has pics please send them. I am looking for a winter project and think this may be the one to do.

No tail will bolt on that I know of. Any tail will fit, there all going to need modification. Good luck and

i thought the 08 tails fit just by swaping the rear framing section and plastics? i've also seen GSXR 750 tails are popular as well. Dont know how easy they are to do tho

I've done a bit of research, but nothing solid enough to attempt

On this forum, people have quoted close to $2000 for this swap (2007 or 2008 1000 tail on a gen II busa). Now, I'm no master fabricator, but I know my way around a shop and I can't fathom why on earth this price is that high. I would understand $1000, but even that seems high ???

heres a picture of mine, my boy did it and its a direct bolt-on as long as you have the subframe and everything that goes with it, the only thing thats different is the locking mechanism on the hump/passenger seat release...everything else is the same... hope this helps,Jon

Here's my 04 with a 08 1K tail. Getting the front half of the subframe to fit is the biggest challenge, especially if you want the stock seat to fit. Mine cost me around $350 in parts.

sure does....bt will take as much work as u first take it out

You can put any tail you want on there, depending on how much work you wanna do. I just put a Kawi ZX6R tail on my busa, see my build in this section. Lots o pics.
