Well not that I ride too much only 300 in 3 weeks, I got to know what to use to really clean the grease off the rims... I have to say that (mamy) is looking nasty...
On a lighter note she does hande a lot better than my 89 GSXR1100... kinda tuchy on first gear but I can lean the hell out of this one compare to my old GSXR, which was to low to bang some turns.. I do respect the weight on her since it can be pain on slow speed turns other than that I'm very well pleased...

I use a small brush and a spray bottle of simple green . Take a ride to Ewa for me bra!

wash em off to get the dirt of then wipe down with Water Displacement 40 and wash again

Simple green would be to harsh on a painted surface and over a period of time will dual the appearance. W-D40 seems like a good cleanser to use.

thanks for the advice...
I do go to ewa often but hate traffic... need to get the cooling system worked on so that can hold up to the heat and traffic here n honolulu... trust me I can even make it to Wikiki without close to overheating

Flush you cooling system out thorougly with distilled water, then fill with engine ice.

motorex protect and shine works will also, spray the towel, wipe the rims and go over them with a dry cloth. Btw, The bike looks good.

I use this stuff called Goop. I find it at a grocery store for $1 a tube. I guess it's more of a hand cleaner. But a little bit on a rag and everything slides right off.

Simple Green all the way!

I used to use wd-40 but everything ends up smelling like oil. While with simple green it has that nice pine scent!

Prefer the Simple Green myself. You can dilute it some if there is the risk of damage to the paint.

I see that you're military. My sickers are on the forks and the sentries never see it. ohh well.

I may get billeted to 3MARDIV Det. If I do, I may consider selling the busa, as its my touring bike. Oahu aint that big.

Simple Green for the Wheels, or if it's really nasty, I'll hit it with some Brake cleaner, Doesn't hurt the paint so long as you work fast, and it's really fast...

WD40 for cleaning the chain too. Then some nice chain wax to prevent the mess you're dealing with now.
