What was this Bike.

Did a half day track day today and was delayed for 3/4 of an hour after this bike ran through the sand trap at turn 1 hit the wall and burst into flames it happened 2 bikes in front of me one scary sight I can tell you. The rider received a compound fracture to the right leg and associated bumps and bruises he cartwheeled about 10 feet in the air and luckely landed back in the sand and not on the wall.

This is a brand new bike can you pick what is is?

how the F#$# did some one screw up on an S1000? that bike is almost dummy proof?!??! he must have turned off the TCS or the ABS.. or it never worked properly... holy crapola..

Not dummy proof if a dummy thinks it's dummy proof and all the fancy tech will make up for skills he doesn't have and pushes it harder than he knows how to handle.

Or it was a very bad mistake by an experienced rider who now knows better and just became an even more experienced rider.

The rider said he changed down to keep the speed through the corner but it went into neutral and he couldn't select another gear the corner is the fastest on our track most riders run through here at 200Kph + (130mph) if you do not tip in enough you will end up in the kitty litter.

Strange ring around rear tire ?

Mine (rear/front) are starting to show that line now. They have about 4k miles on them and the treads don't look worn out. Wonder what that is?
